ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite cookies that I made this year are Magic in the Middle Cookies. They taste like a Reeses peanut butter cup. Mara (my daughter) keeps going back to the cookie tin and getting more. These will be a keeper in our family for years to come.

My favorite Christmas food is Marzipan Stollen from Germany. I love having it for breakfast on Princess Cruises (Xmas time). If i'm not lucky enough to be on a cruise, I get them at Cost Plus World Market. Yum!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my After Eight Sandwich Cookies. Wash down with a Rum and Eggnog and you will think you have gone to heaven!
ReplyDeleteI love Apricot Tarts that my Grandmother Ruth would make every Christmas. I try and make them every year so they are a family tradition continued. Happy Holiday and Happy Blogging!
ReplyDeletePeanut butter balls (with powdered sugar) and the delicious prime rib we had at Guys house on Christmas day! Miss you!! Dawn
ReplyDeleteWe had a beautiful prime rib roast for Christmas dinner this year instead of ham or turkey. It was so delicious with mashed potatoes, beef gravy and fresh green beans. Yummy !! Linda Barlow
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOOOOOVE my mom's sweet potato casserole....I crave it every year and it wouldn't be thanksgiving in my mind without it- sweet potato, oatmeal/brown sugar/butter streusel with cranberry and browned marshmallow on top...pure bliss!
ReplyDeleteWell, I could be a total suck-up and report that my NEW fav is your stuffed meatloaf. We had friends in for a pre holiday comfort food dinner last week and bowled them over with the HEALTHY dinner. I paired the meatloaf with roasted fingerling potatoes and steamed baby carrots.
ReplyDeleteOh and my favorite homemade thing is Rosemary Monkey Bread. It's the most amazing thing, thanks to Alton Brown: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/overnight-monkey-bread-recipe/index.html
ReplyDeleteHey Kelsey,
ReplyDeleteMy favourite dessert to make and eat is my "triple layer chocolate mousse cake". I have made it so many times that I have lost count. It's so easy and it's so good. Everyone who tastes it loves it and usually walks away with the recipe in hand. This cake goes well with any holiday, but is best with birthdays (or those who just want that good 'ol fashion chocolate fix!)
Kelsey I enjoy reading your blog! Hope you are doing well! My favorite holiday treat is lemon spritz cookies that I make with my cookie press, I could eat a million of them!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday food the 400 cookies that I make every year. This year the peanut butter blossom cookies that were a hit with my whole family!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelsey! Cool idea! Love the apron set. Consider this my OFFICIAL contest entry! My favourite holiday is Christmas, and the best part is breakfast on Christmas morning - my aunt's ham and cheese strata recipe is delicious. Also, can't beat the turkey dinner, (and subsequent turkey sandwiches with the leftovers)!
ReplyDeleteKelsey, I was the peanut butter balls, Auntie
ReplyDeleteHi Kelsey & Kim.Finally figuring out this blog stuff. My favorite Christmas food is my mothers sausage buns.My mother made them every Xmas, now I make them & 2 of her granddaughters also make them every year. They just smell & taste like Christmas to us and we all have memories of making them with her.
ReplyDeletehi Kels! I am a holiday fanatic. But my favorite holiday foods are the Norwegian ones my mom and I make because they are very traditional and make us feel closer to our family there. On Christmas day, we make Norwegian pancakes (like crepes but bigger) served with jelly, and we make lefse which is a soft and bread-like and filled with butter, sugar and cinnamon.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelsey & Kim I am really enjoying the K&K Blog!! You are doing an awesome job!!! My favorite holiday cookie is the almond spritz cookie that is make with a cookie press. They are a cookie I made with my mom and sisters every year, and then made with my children as they grew up. I have passed the tradition on to my daughter, and made them this year with my three year old grandson!!! Mitchie
ReplyDeleteFavorite @ Christmas: Sugar cookies made with Christmas molds by Christine - but favorite part is when the whole family decorates them!
